If you watched the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship main event Monday night looking for a classic, you were sorely disappointed. But if you watched for nostalgia and a feel-good moment, your little heart got everything you desired.

And really, that’s enough to carry the day. Lita and Becky Lynch are your new women’s tag champs, toppling Damage CTRL with a little help from the finally returning Trish Stratus, who evened the odds by taking out Bayley.

The match wasn’t anything to write home about – Lita looked rusty and limited, but still nailed a picture-perfect moonsault – but getting the titles off an ice cold duo and onto a team that could head into WrestleMania with a big match was the right call.

Congrats to Lita and Becky; now let’s see who steps up to challenge them in a month.
