3. Get Rollins Away From The US Title

There’s this strange disconnect WWE has where they feel like their title matches need big stars, and their biggest stars need to be involved in title matches, even if they aren’t going to win.

That’s how you get Seth Rollins once again competing for the United States Championship. Since losing the title at Survivor Series, Rollins has been in six matches. Three of them have either been for the US title or to be #1 contender for the title. Another of those was the Royal Rumble.

And now, Rollins will compete in the Elimination Chamber for the United States Championship after winning a qualifying match Monday night. Sure, he and Chad Gable had a really nice, fun match that made Gable look like a legit threat. But it’s the sticking Rollins in yet another US title match that just seems extraneous. We know he’s not going to win – at least, there’s no reason for him to do so.

But the US title match needs star power, per WWE, so Rollins is in.
