Hats off to Alpha Academy, RK-Bro and Seth Rollins & Kevin Owens, who dominated the first hour of Raw with a tremendous tag team triple threat for the Raw Tag Team Championship.

The match was faced-paced and all action, and it featured unique rules for a triple threat: one member from each team was in the ring at all times, and you could only tag your partner. This worked well overall, though they did fall into the trope of “one guy gets knocked outside and lays there for a bit before switching out with another guy.”

But the match was fantastic, and RK-Bro recapturing the tag titles to pay off winning the academic challenge a few weeks back was a great touch. And it produced an easily iconic moment, with Randy Orton catching Chad Gable mid-moonsault with an RKO.

Here’s hoping Alpha Academy gets a rematch at WrestleMania, because they’ve proven this past month that they deserve a bigger showcase and an opportunity to succeed on a huge stage.
