6 Ups & 7 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 17)
3. It's That Bad
So bad, we have to mention it twice.
If Trey was backstage at the venue, why didn't he make his way to ringside to confront or ambush Ace Austin following the comments he made after beating 'The Canadian Destroyer'? He instead waited to see the champ as he made his way backstage, unleashing an assault after Austin claimed Trey's mother was unlikely to be a spitter.
Having Mrs. Miguel involved this heavily in the story was fine to start off with, but now she's essentially the main focus of it as opposed to the X Division Championship. It's often hard to forget this is actually a title match seeing as Trey's mom is constantly at the forefront of the conflict between the champion and the challenger.
Another quick note - Reno Scum were on hand to save Ace from a beatdown at the hands of Trey, but where were Dez and Wentz to help ease the situation? Nowhere to be seen, apparently.
