1. US Champ Has Undiagnosed Disorder

It’s great to see WWE giving opportunities to everyone to succeed in their company, regardless of condition. Witness Damain Priest, who clearly has multiple personality disorder.

Priest’s split personality gimmick has been ramped up in recent weeks in his feud with Dolph Ziggler, but a pre-match promo put it over the top, where he referred to each “side” of himself in the third person, talking about keeping “the Damian side” in check, even calling it “he” at one point. It was just a terrible promo – not in terms of delivery, but in the words that were written for Priest.

The match exacerbated it as they really milked that Priest was unable to control his inner demon to get back into the ring to beat a 10 count that would have cost him his United States Championship. Even then, he still kept seething right up until he countered a superkick with a Reckoning for the pin.

The fans were behind the match and the drama, but you could have built all of that without the split personality gimmick or Priest’s ridiculous facial expressions. Stop screwing around like this with this guy.
