6 Ups & 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 3)

Ups…

6. Filling Time, But Could Work

After losing two consecutive matches for the Raw Women’s Championship, Liv Morgan should theoretically move to the back of the line.

However, we’re at an odd part of the year where WWE needs a filler feud to get through the Royal Rumble and then move on to the Road to WrestleMania, so when Becky Lynch came out to gloat (and call herself WWE’s Vincent Van GOAT), Morgan interrupted her.

But this time, Bianca Belair soldiered out to note that she’s finished with her “Doudrop detour” and ready to resume her hunt for the Raw women’s title. This naturally led to a melee, with Belair and Liv clearing Becky out of the ring, then brawling themselves, only for Lynch to re-enter the ring and lay out Bianca.

A triple threat between these women would do the trick fine, especially if it gets Belair back into the conversation. However, we learned later that that wasn’t the case. Still, putting Bianca back into the title hunt is a good move, and maybe this serves to ratchet Morgan down a notch gracefully rather than Lynch beating her a third time.
