Downs…

8. At Least It Was Short?

Really struggled with whether to make this a positive or a negative here… but Shayna Baszler won convincingly over Nia Jax, then potentially put her on the shelf.

The explosion of the former tag champs has been a long time coming, and we really couldn’t have cared less about it, as the team had long since been turned into a walking punchline. So when Jax and Baszler collided, it was more a curiosity of how they’d book it.

Shayna and Nia shoved each other a bunch to start before Jax nailed a shoulderbreaker and attacked. Things broke down into a slugfest for a few moments, but then Baszler started firing off kicks and knee strikes before locking in the Kirafuda Clutch and refusing to let go until Jax passed out.

Afterward, Baszler attacked Jax again, attempting to break her wrist/arm/elbow on the steel steps. And that was it, with Shayna looking conflicted as Nia wailed in pain. It was short, but it wasn’t any good, and it didn’t really answer any questions.
