The IIconics were not at fault for being thrust into a spot the company didn't even seem bothered about helping them grow into, but Sasha Banks and Bayley losing them just over a month after winning them would prove deeply damaging to titles they'd worked incredibly hard to establish.

Another four-team match (Nia Jax & Tamina and The Divas Of Doom also featured) didn't inspire much from the crowd, and the shock of the title change was most apparent from the very real emotion expressed by Billie Kay and Peyton Royce.

We'll never know what the league could have blossomed into had 'The Boss & Hug Connection' been given the long run they were first promised, but this odd choice stunted its growth for months before a gradual attempt at a Summer rebuild.
