Towards the end of last year, Rhea Ripley and Raquel Gonzalez gradually became arguably the brand's most bitter rivals, putting on a spectacular contest at Halloween Havoc and regularly locking horns for the remainder of 2020. After Gonzalez cost Ripley her bout against Toni Storm a few weeks ago, though, William Regal had no choice but to throw the two former pals into a destructive Last Woman Standing match to settle things once and for all.
Taking the physicality we expect from the two gladiators up a notch from the off, the alpha females ferociously pummelled each other like their careers depended on it. The heelish associate of Dakota Kai then attempted to introduce hand-cuffs into proceedings, only to find herself attached to the barricade. Showcasing her insane brute strength, however, Gonzalez soon yanked herself free and used the twisted metal to batter her rival.
A ring-bell headshot, sickening edge of the announce desk bump, and a boot off the stage all resulted in Ripley being bullied into the backstage area by her dominant adversary. However, determined not to be bested by her former bestie, Ripley summoned up some back-up strength to tackle Gonzalez through a glass door. Then, after pulling off a devastating senton through a table onto the WarGames winner, Ripley was suddenly caught off guard by a despicable Kai.
After hilariously stuffing Kai into a locker and locking her in with a production box, Ripley and Gonzalez then took their brawl back onto the stage. It was here where Gonzalez survived a chair-assisted Prism Trap to brutalise the Australian with a single-leg powerbomb through the set. Unable to answer the ten-count, Gonzalez picked up the deserved victory, marking herself out as an undoubted future NXT Women's Champion and probably the baddest person on the roster as of writing.
