3. Gonzalez Makes A Statement, Sends The Genius Through The Sky

Before Raquel Gonzalez could even make her way to the ramp for her incoming bout with Zoey Stark, NXT Women's Champion looked to earn some early revenge on her TakeOver opponent, declaring "YOU CANNOT KILL ME!" before brawling with her backstage. This still wasn't enough to keep 'Big Mami Cool' from getting her hands on the impressive NXT newcomer, however, as Stark was quickly met with the ruthless power of the formidable number one contender.

As the match wore on, Stark's tactics of trying her best to stay clear of Gonzalez' relentless way actually looked to be working a treat, though. This was evidenced in Gonzalez' attempt to counter a cross-body into a post attack on the outside. Stark reversed this so the powerhouse collided with the steel instead, but Dakota Kai tried to swing the momentum back in her pal's favour via sneak attack. The 'Captain of Team Kick' then took a clothesline over the barricade in response to this, opening the door for a series of sickening strikes from Stark to her rival.

In a nice callback to their tag match last week, Stark intelligently scouted Gonzalez' set-up for her Single-Arm Powerbomb from the top rope, hitting a stunning jumping neckbreaker instead. However, that momentum sadly couldn't last forever, with the unstoppable force obliterating Stark with a seemingly inevitable Single-Arm Powerbomb out of nowhere for the impressive victory.

If that wasn't enough of a reminder as to why Gonzalez is undoubtedly the woman to finally overcome the mighty 'Genius of the Sky', her handling of the Champ's post-match attack - sending her flying into the barricade like a crash test dummy - definitely hammered the point home.

The enemies would clash a couple more times before the night reached its end, provoking the entire women's locker room to keep them apart as the show went off the air. This moment was then finished off by a delicious cross-body from the valiant Champion who stood tall as Stand and Deliver crept up on the horizon.
