6 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2016

6. Retire The Stomp

Whatever Alberto Del Rio calls his top-rope stomp finisher, he needs to retire it. Now.

During his two-out-of-three falls match against Kalisto, Del Rio attempted his stomp no less than four times, hitting it once in short order to win the second fall and later on the outside during the third fall. But each time he attempted the move, it became even more painfully obvious how contrived the setup to the move is, with Kalisto holding himself up in position for the stomp.

Yes, professional wrestling maneuvers are contrived by definition. Even basic moves like the Irish Whip and suplex require an opponent to cooperate for it to work, but Del Rio€™s stomp is on a different level of ridiculous.
