6 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE TLC 2019

2. A Horrid TLC Match

When you get down to it, the TLC match between King Corbin and Roman Reigns just wasn’t good. In fact, it outright stunk.

First off, for a TLC match, there was barely any tables, ladders or chairs, thus negating the entire stipulation. This might have been forgiven if it had been a brutal, personal battle. But instead, it was Corbin moving at his usual half-speed with Reigns selling for 75% of the match. We were “treated” to numerous spots of the King mocking Roman. We got cans of dog food too.

And then the wheels really fell off as they went for the smoke and mirrors with Dolph Ziggler interfering, The Revival joining in, and a half-dozen security officers getting bounced around by Reigns. And it took all of them to finally put Reigns down for a 3 count.

But what an absolutely dismal match. If it had been some wild, fever-pitch brawl, you could forgive a lot, but it was slow, plodding and unimaginative.

If you were going to book something like this, just do a regular no-DQ bout. Why bother with the TLC stipulation except for the fact that it’s December and there’s a PPV by that name?
