6 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's NXT (April 7)
3. Finn Balor
I'll hold my hand up here, I'd almost completely forgotten that Finn Balor vs Walter was a thing.
It's a pleasant reminder though, given that this was probably the most out-of-nowhere feud heading into WrestleMania, but also pretty jarring given just how comically things have descended over the past few weeks. The UK Championship was going to get its biggest ever match at TakeOver this year, but now it's relegated to a short highlight package, a replay of a month-old match, and Balor saying he still fancies it.
I'll tell you what though; Balor's right. All of this will pass and, when it does, there are still a lot of great stories in NXT that are going to get told. While it's easy to focus on what's been forgotten in all of this, it's more important to remember that it is all just temporary. Normality will return and, with it, a lot of good things.
Yeah this is cheap TV and, yeah, it didn't really offer us anything new, but credit where it's due for keeping the fire burning.
