6 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Feb 3rd)
4. Losses Matter In NXT
A main gripe amongst WWE fans is that on the main roster, sometimes stars lose a title match or an important bout and it's just shrugged off and not much is ever said about it again. One of the great things about NXT is that losses matter and they have consequences for the characters and storylines. As an example, Bray Wyatt wanted to be the new Face of Fear by beating Undertaker at WrestleMania 31. Wyatt lost and never mentioned the loss in a promo or explained how it effected him, he just moved on, rendering the four week build meaningless. Over on NXT, Enzo and Cass got their shot at Dash & Dawson at Takeover: London and came very close to winning the Tag straps but ultimately fell short. This week Enzo & Cass came out looking angry, selling the loss and showing they want to get back in the hunt. Their expressions told the story of how much those Tag Team Championships mean to them as characters. I'd love to at least mention the names of the two opponents that Enzo and Cass disposed of but sadly they were never mentioned by name or with a graphic so...Thank You Mr. Jobbers, I guess.
