6 Ups And 2 Downs From WWE NXT (Nov 18)

5. Indi End, It Doesn't Even Matter

All things considered, putting three of the brand's more inexperienced performers in a tag match with a woman enjoying something of a purple patch should have made for a short, punchy, frenetic match that showcased a few elements of the division's future. It's hard to appraise it in such glowing terms, but it just about did enough to make it worth watching.

The major downside here though was Indi Hartwell. When you're parachuted into an angle that's way above the level you've previously been working on, you don't get many chances to register the quote/unquote breakout performance. Raquel González, for example, never quite managed it, instead coasting on the show-stealing spectacle that accompanied her debut at TakeOver. Hartwell doesn't have that luxury, so this match should have been all about her. In the end, it was all about Candice.

However, the fluidity of the contest, the few flurries of excitement we got from Carter and Kacy, and the fact it fulls cements Hartwell as Candice's new buddy just about makes it work. The heels will end up at Wargames, the faces won't, but their time will come eventually.
