Given that last week's episode of NXT only featured a single match, and that multiple episodes of the show are taped back to back in front of the same audience, it made sense that this week's edition would feature several short matches. Still, for a TV viewing audience with a week between episodes, this show didn't have much meat. The show clocked in at just under 60 minutes and featured an astounding five matches - the four aforementioned ones, plus a brief Tommaso Ciampa-Jesse Sorensen encounter. While all of the bouts were technically good and served a purpose, none of them (with possible exception of the main event) had a chance to really breathe and develop into something exciting. Again, it's hard to complain when the booking is solid and serves a purpose, but fans hoping to see some top-level in-ring action after last week might not have gotten what they were hoping to see.
