4. Kacy And Kayden Stake Their Claim

It feels as though the NXT Women's Tag Team division has taken a bit of a backseat over the last few weeks, with the champs themselves more focused on figuring out how to get along than actually taking on the teams vying for a shot at the gold.

Saying that, this issue likely derives from the fact that the black and gold brand isn't exactly bursting with genuine units at this moment in time. Yet, at least this week saw two of the only teams available coming to blows.

Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne are by no means the finished product at this point, but both definitely have the spark needed to engage with a live crowd and came equipped with weapons capable of popping those in attendance; Jayne's cannonball in particular is simply savage. However, the headlines belonged to their rivals, Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter, on this occasion.

After hitting their wicked 450 splash/neckbreaker combo for the win, the two set their sights on Io Shirai and Zoey Stark, demanding they be given the title shot they deserve. They no doubt will be in the coming weeks, and that match will likely be a bit of a banger. But in order to keep this division afloat, we need more showcases and some fresh tag team blood pumped into the scene.
