6 Ups And 4 Downs From NXT Roadblock 2023

1. Get A Translator… And Something To Cure Boredom

It’s bad enough that Gallus’ matches are just one-dimensional and boring, but putting microphones in their hands isn’t exactly a panacea. In fact, it might make it worse.

Gallus had a “face-to-face” with Pretty Deadly Tuesday night, but listening to the NXT tag champs ramble was absolutely unbearable… and nearly impossible to decipher. Maybe if someone’s promos aren’t their strong suit, you shouldn’t ask them to carry an entire talking segment.

Worse, Pretty Deadly are the de facto babyfaces in this story (there’s no way we’re supposed to root for Mark Coffey and Wolfgang), but they were made to look like impotent geeks getting beat up soundly and chased off. No outsmarting, no even getting outsmarted. Pretty Deadly simply walked into an obvious beatdown by two meatheads.

Sign us up for that match!... said no one.
