Right before the bell rang in the Andrade “Cien” Almas/Roderick Strong match, Corey Graves made the comment that the match could be a show-stealer because both men had chips on their shoulders and something to prove.

Almas and Strong might not have had the best match on the card, but they went full speed from the get-go and didn’t let up for the duration. The match didn’t have a big fight feel, but both men hit each other with some aggressive moves that knocked the other loopy. There were no dead spots in the match because neither took their foot off the gas.

In the end, Strong emerged victorious, but it was good to see two guys who have been largely in the background get to shine for a few minutes on PPV and show the fans exactly what they can do. It made this writer curious to see more of them in action and that hopefully NXT will develop and feature both more.
