Ever since debuting on the main roster last year, fans have been waiting for Iyo Sky to have her true breakout moment. We might have finally seen it – or at least the precursor – on Saturday.

Sky won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, capturing the briefcase and all but guaranteeing that she will win a singles title in the next year. Along the way, Iyo had a jaw-dropping moonsault off the ladder and an all-round strong performance in a spotty MITB match.

It almost didn’t happen. Bayley tipped over the ladder as Iyo climbed, costing her a clean shot. But Sky repaid the betrayal a bit later, handcuffing Bayley and Becky Lynch in the ladder to remove them from contention. It was a nice bit of payback, and it raises the question of whether this is the end of Damage CTRL, which wouldn’t be that big of a loss at this point.

For Sky, a former NXT Women’s Champion and Tag Champ in both NXT and WWE, winning a singles title on the main roster would obviously be a huge boost for her.
