4. Discarded Chase Is Overshadowed By A Lopez Scorned

Few heels have popped in quite the same way as the focal point of Chase-U has since NXT 2.0 became, you know, a thing. Petulantly exploding in pre-taped class vignettes and royally putting his foot in his mouth whenever he's in the arena, Andre Chase is rapidly becoming one of the weekly developmental standouts. And that's what made his part in last night's Xyon Quinn push feel so disheartening.

After being the driving force and most charismatic of the two during their quick skirmish, brilliantly asking the audience to give him a C-H-A-S-E-U before asking them, "What does that spell?" ("YOU SUCK!", apparently), Chase was soon obliterated and swept to one side in favour of Legado launching another attack on their man.

Sure, having Santos Escobar and his crew involved with Quinn will likely help bring the green hip-shaker up to speed, but you could very much hear the energy being sucked out of the room the minute the Chase experience was over and the del Fantasma frenzy began.

Fingers crossed Quinn can find a way to connect with the crowd outside of his admittedly impressive power game soon, or there's a danger his Elektra experiment could leave him pulling up a chair at Chase-U before the year is out... now there's a thought.
