It could be a product of timing, but Jason Jordan’s budding feud with the Miz certainly felt like it was tacked on to Raw Monday night and would not have been missed in a packed episode.

Jordan, GM Kurt Angle’s storyline long-lost son, has gone from tag team wrestler to superstar positioned for a breakout singles career in the past month. The storyline has been met with mixed reviews, with fans not buying into the idea that Jordan is Angle’s son and is getting opportunities to compete on Raw.

It’s possible that a busy program with a mini-Shield reunion, fatal four-way Universal Championship brawl, return of Finn Balor’s Demon and Raw Women’s Championship #1 contender’s match on the docket, this storyline felt superfluous, but that still cannot be a good sign.

Here’s hoping that WWE is able to get things straightened out for Jordan’s sake. It would be a shame to see a young performer’s career derailed by a bad storyline.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
