3. Maybe A Promo Would Help?

The ongoing feud between Bobby Roode and Elias just isn’t really clicking, and there might be a simple reason why.

There hasn’t been enough talking.

No seriously. Aside from Elias’ singing and the announcer’s prattling, there hasn’t been a lot of description of what the two men are fighting over. The recap from last week, with Elias shoving Roode chest-first into the exposed metal buckle, was effective, but it didn’t sell the storyline the way a promo from Roode could have.

And that’s the problem. All they really had to do to improve things was have a little more exposition, which might have made fans care a little more about the feud. The match itself wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either, as the finish came out of nowhere, and when you couple that with a dull backstory, you don’t get a great segment.
