6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 11)

1. Who Wrote This Crap?

Semi-serious question: Is WWE deliberately trying to sabotage Roman Reigns?

Week after week, they’ve sent an unarmed man into a battle of words against one of the best in the business, John Cena. And Cena has shredded Reigns each time. Monday was no different.

Cena rode Roman about how he criticized that it took the 16-time champ 20 minutes to beat a rookie, and then that same rookie nearly beat Roman. Reigns’ response – “I’ve had more great matches in two years than you’ve had in your career” – was so transparently bad that even Cena pointed out that he was burying himself.

Roman also took credit for selling tickets and that business is sky-high because of him – a guy who hasn’t held a world title in more than a year. (Not to mention that TV ratings – another measure of business – has been down with Roman at the top of the card.)

If the writers’ goal is to make Reigns look like a pretentious chump, then mission accomplished. Otherwise, what the hell?
