6 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE TLC 2017

2. Balor, Styles Tear Down The House

A match with no hype, no buildup and no storyline stole the show Sunday night.

Finn Balor and AJ Styles battled like crazy in their first one-on-one match ever (forget in WWE, they had never squared off solo before), and they did not disappoint. It wouldn’t do the match justice to try to run down the moves or anything like that, but both men countered each other repeatedly, traded various moves, and landed some stiff offense.

Being that it was a Raw brand PPV, it’s no surprise that Finn Balor emerged victorious, dodging a 450 splash, nailing a shotgun dropkick and hitting the Coup de Grace for the win. Even better for the fans who were chanting it before the match, AJ and Finn threw up a “Too Sweet” to each other.

And the best part? This match meant that Sister Abigail stayed locked away for at least another day.
