Love them or hate them, but the New Day certainly earned their place in the record books Monday night, winning not just one, but two triple threat tag team title matches on Raw.

The trio defeated Cesaro & Sheamus and Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson to open Raw, but after spraying Stephanie McMahon with champagne, they had to defend the Raw Tag Team Championships again, this time against Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins. Brutal.

But New Day survived, earning their kudos for surpassing Demolition as the longest-reigning tag champs in WWF/E history. You might feel that they’ve passed their sell-by date as a top tag act, but they had their working boots on Monday, and their reward for being a highly entertaining team for so long was to beat an “unbeatable” record.

And now, the speculation can begin on who will unseat New Day as Raw Tag Team Champions, seeing how the record was the big motivation for them.
