6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 12)
2. The Long Con
The unrest between Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens looks like the end of a beautiful friendship, but this wouldn’t be the first time that Jeri-KO have played people for fools.
It’s quite possible that Jericho and Owens are playing fans with a very long con, pretending to be in disarray as a team, not even friendly with each other and ready to implode. Heading into Roadblock, that division would be music to Roman Reigns’ ears as he attempts to win the WWE Universal Championship from KO. But what if that’s what Owens and Jericho want?
Owens has been on the receiving end of some tough beatdowns in recent weeks, which is a big role reversal for him and Jericho. Still, this could be an elaborate scheme from the two to convince everyone that they’re not going to have each other’s backs on Sunday, only to come through and save each other from defeat (especially when it comes to Owens defending his Universal Championship).
It’s that’s the case, this is a hell of a long con to get what they want. But if that’s the case, it could make for a hell of a reveal on the PPV.
