5. Mahal Exacts Revenge

It’s easy to blow off the budding Jinder Mahal/Roman Reigns feud as a waste of time, as it clearly exists only to try to get fans to cheer for the Big Dog, but at least Mahal is actually getting the upper hand a bit.

Mahal potentially cost Roman his spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match, interfering in the qualifying match a couple weeks ago. He paid for it last week when Reigns took him out of action, spearing him through a “wall.” Monday night, Jinder interfered in Roman’s singles match against Kevin Owens, then blasted Reigns and Seth Rollins with a steel chair, leveling both men.

While we all have a pretty good idea of where this is likely headed, we’ll give positive marks to this development Monday night, as it advanced the storyline and allowed the see-saw between the two men to continue.
