4. Injure A Wrestler, Get A Push

Maybe it’s just bad luck or bad timing. Maybe she really is inexperienced and careless.

Regardless, it’s amazing to think that last week, Nia Jax threw #1 contender Bayley to the mat hard, separating her shoulder, and this week she won a match putting her into a final bout for the new #1 contender’s spot.

That is admittedly an over-simplification, but there are examples of carelessness involving Nia and other wrestlers, most notably Charlotte back in April. And truthfully, Jax could lose next week against Sasha Banks, giving the Boss momentum heading into SummerSlam. But if Nia is being set up for a title run, that would just be incredible.

And for what it’s worth, next week’s #1 contender’s match is in Banks’ hometown, so factor that in.
