Knowing WWE, they will just chalk it up to being in “Bizarro World,” but come on.

WWE had to know that pitting an American flag-clad Jason Jordan against local wrestler Jean-Pierre Goulet was going to lead to backlash from the fans. And Jordan manhandling the jobber smugly was going to engender some boos. WWE knew this, right? Right?

If the ultimate goal is for Jordan to become a megastar by tying him to Kurt Angle and ignite his solo career, this is exactly how not to do it. What’s next, have him face the Brooklyn Brawler and Tommy Dreamer in a handicap match at SummerSlam?

Now, if WWE is laying the groundwork for fans to boo Jordan, then this isn’t completely horrible, but it also came a week after he went after Miz and the Miztourage, everyone’s favorite punching bags, so go figure.
