6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 8)

3. Profits As Hype Men

To be fair, this new era of Raw already has more consistency between its first two weeks than almost any period during the last year.

But it’s still tough to take WWE at face value with how they use talent – there’s just too big of a hole to dig out of. So when we were introduced to the Street Profits last week backstage, it felt like they were being wasted in their role.

Monday, we got more of the same, but this time, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford spent their screen time hyping the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV and its matches… because that’s what the NXT Tag Team Champions should be doing, right?

Maybe WWE actually has a plan this time, but using your developmental tag champs to hype a throwaway PPV? Come on fam.
