Samoa Joe has been an enjoyable presence on Raw since his debut this winter.

Joe is a no-nonsense wrestler who has defeated several superstars en route to this point in his WWE career. It’s tough to envision him as any other type of performer other than a straightforward wrestler who enjoys hurting people. That’s been Joe’s persona for quite some time, and it’s terribly effective.

Monday night, Samoa Joe stood tall over his opponents, forcing Seth Rollins to pass out to the Coquina Clutch after Roman Reigns ran into him. Of the five men in the #1 contender’s title match, Joe would probably provide the most unique challenge, between Joe’s mass and his penchant for not going down easily.
