6 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Hell In A Cell 2017
1. Usos, New Day Reinvent The Wheel
After 36 matches, you would be forgiven if you thought there wasn’t much new ground to break inside Hell in a Cell. After all, we’ve seen people tossed off the cell, slammed and speared through it, and beaten inside it with nearly ever weapon imaginable.
But the Usos and New Day managed to innovate several new moments Sunday night – and now, we’re not talking about using a trombone, cowbell and gong as weapons. The two teams wailed on each other with kendo sticks, speared each other into the cell, and imprisoned their opponents while inside a prison.
The match itself should be notable for the sheer volume of gruesome spots, as well as the creative ones employed. This match set the bar extremely high and, as Corey Graves put it, neither team should be disappointed – although the Usos certainly will have an easier time licking their wounds.
