6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 14)
Ups...
6. A Glorious Win
It’s been a topsy-turvy time for Bobby Roode on the main roster.
The former NXT champion inexplicably debuted as a babyface on SmackDown, where he won the United States Championship. He lost the title quickly to Randy Orton and had a lackluster triple threat match at WrestleMania. Then he came to Raw as the final acquisition and seemed to be pegged for something big.
Then he lost to Elias and danced with No Way Jose’s conga line at Backlash.
But Monday, Roode pinned Jose to earn a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Sure, the Glorious One might not be the favorite (that’s gotta be Braun Strowman), but at least he’s in the signature match of the upcoming PPV.
And there’s always hope that Roode will at some point soon turn into the vain, villainous wrestler he’s perfect at portraying. But for now, we’ll take the W.
