6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 29)
4. Ricochet Rebounds
You would be forgiven if you had some buyers’ remorse last week when it was learned that Aleister Black had been shifted over to SmackDown – after the Superstar Shakeup allegedly occurred – leaving Ricochet without his tag team partner, and then the One and Only lost a singles match against Robert Roode, the formerly floundering tag team wrestler.
Thankfully Ricochet rebounded Monday night in a tag match with Braun Strowman against Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin. Ricochet absorbed a lot of punishment, only to continue to rally and get the tag to Strowman. He then scored the pinfall off a Shooting Star Press on Corbin.
It will be something scrutinizing fans will have their eyes on – whether Ricochet thrives or suffers as a singles wrestler on Raw, as he and Black enjoyed immense success as a tag team out of the gate and were pushed as a top act, only to sputter around WrestleMania and then inexplicably be split up.
But then after that odd loss to Roode, Ricochet appears to be back on track.
