After sitting for three hours, waiting to find out Brock Lesnar would cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, we got exactly what we expected.

Lesnar circled the ring with Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins inside, beaten but not out, and left. The End. This was meant to show that Brock was in their heads – as Paul Heyman put it – and it really was no surprise to anyone in the know. And then Heyman talked about coming back next week to announce who would be the victim.

So the automatic cash-in will come soon, it seems, and could be announced ahead of time. With none of these three men in a match at Super Showdown yet, it’s possible that’s where the match would take place.

That raises the question of why Brock needed the briefcase in the first place, as Heyman could just as easily have negotiated an open contract for a title shot at Super Showdown and they would have gotten away with that.
