6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 26)

3. Moving Women's Wrestling Forward

Focused, tight, and cohesive, last night's Sasha Banks/Charlotte confrontation reaffirmed their disdain for one another without descending to petty insults, and in fighting her way through both Charlotte and Dana Brooke, it left Banks looking incredibly strong ahead of next week's match.

Banks is WWE's most popular female athlete, but she's not the most natural babyface performer. She visibly struggles with her on-mic delivery at times, but both women were on-point tonight. Charlotte put Sasha and Bayley over before outlining exactly why she's better than both of them, and Banks was equally convincing in her role. It was Bayley, not Sasha, who was pinned for Charlotte's Clash win, and when used this as an argument for a rematch, it was hard to argue with her logic.

Charlotte, of course, disagreed, but the match was set-up, and they're set to throw-down once again. As sloppy as their SummerSlam match became, the duo have a track record of putting-on excellent matches together, and there's little to suggest next week's will be any different.

A smooth in-ring segment that pushes everything forward, and nothing backward.
