6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 26)
2. Seth Rollins: Vigilante
Seth Rollins is now Raw's biggest babyface. Things took a twist a few weeks ago when Triple H returned to cost him the Universal Championship, his relationship with Stephanie McMahon as shattered, and with Finn Balor on the shelf, he has no competition for the title of Raw's most popular athlete. Seth's post-Clash standing ovation confirms his status, and the Kevin Owens feud looks set to continue.
Furthermore, WWE are handling this incredibly well. It doesn't make sense to switch Seth's personality from "obnoxious douchebag" to all-round good guy overnight, so they're not. Instead, Seth retains some of his negative personality traits and the strong sense of entitlement he had while working as The Authority's corporate champion -- he's just aiming them at different targets.
Banned from competing after sustaining a rib injury at Clash, Rollins went rogue last night. Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, and Stephanie had screwed The Architect, and while his attempts at ruining the Highlight Reel fell short, Rollins brings a dangerous sense of unpredictability to Raw's main event scene. Loyal to nobody but himself, he's become a vigilante, and a menace to everyone.
