6 Ups And 7 Downs For WWE Fastlane

5. Reigns Can Be Carried

This is a weak positive from Fastlane, but it€™s worth noting that Roman Reigns finally had a good, lengthy singles match. One of the biggest criticisms that had faced Reigns at the time he won the Royal Rumble was that he had yet to have a really good one-on-one matchup during his WWE tenure, participating in a batch of awesome tag team bouts as part of the Shield and other multi-man matches. Granted, Sunday€™s match was against ring technician Daniel Bryan, and he mostly carried Roman through the match, but it at least showed that Reigns is capable of performing in a big match. If paired with the right opponent, Reigns can put on an acceptable match. That is not exactly a ringing endorsement, and Reigns is still young €“ and green €“ enough to grow into a credible main-event star, but regardless, you€™ve got to start somewhere. It€™s likely too much too soon for Roman, but Sunday showed that there is the potential there. Let€™s just hope this failed experiment doesn€™t completely sour things.
