6 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Raw (July 6)

2. Sane Shines Against Sasha

Funny how WWE can casually have a “first time ever” match between two talented wrestlers – and it comes as one of them is literally walking out the door.

Kairi Sane squared off against Sasha Banks Monday night, with Sane stepping in for her Kabuki Warriors partner Asuka against her challenger for the Raw Women’s Championship. The two had an energetic match, with Kairi getting in a ton of offense, even locking in the Anchor submission on Banks before Bayley broke it up for the DQ.

What really stinks about this is that news broke in the past week that Sane is leaving WWE to return home, but here she showed that fire and talent that made her a shining star in NXT and the winner of the inaugural Mae Young Classic.

Who knows for sure what the future holds, but if Kairi is truly leaving WWE in the coming weeks for good, at least she got a nice moment here.
