6 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 28)

5. BBQ Food Fight

The B-Team has been somewhat entertaining since their inception, but Monday’s BBQ was a misfire waiting to happen.

Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas’ meeting with GM Kurt Angle was pretty funny, with Axel having no inner monologue and Dallas concocting a silly scheme to jump the line for a Raw Tag Team Championship match. But the result was a BBQ for the other tag teams (minus the Authors of Pain and the tag champs themselves) that ended in the predictable food fight.

As is always the case with these food fights, they are done to entertain one person: Vince McMahon. It’s not that these are always bad, but they’re rarely good. Wrestlers throw food at each other and look like extras in an 80s high school movie cafeteria scene.

It’s hackneyed and tired, and WWE really should try to go one holiday without relying on this.
