6 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Crown Jewel 2019

6. Does Anyone Think Around Here?

We’re not going to get super-preachy here, but someone in WWE has to have enough common sense to think things through, right?

The company rightly caught a ton of flack when they ran the Saudi Arabia show last year in the immediate wake of Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman’s role in the murder of American journalist Jamal Khashoggi. (Several wrestlers have refused to perform there in light of that heinous crime.)

Khashoggi was dismembered after he was murdered. Maybe this is a stretch, but shouldn’t someone have grabbed Bray Wyatt before he went out and took his lantern away from him? You know, the one that looks like a dismembered head of the cult leader version of Bray?

It’s not a horrific sin, but a billion-dollar, image-conscious company should be smarter than that.
