Wrestlers flying around the ring showing off their acrobatic skills is part of the nature of today’s in-ring action. It’s often entertaining to see performers doing things the average person can only dream of.

But when someone does it stupidly and it directly leads to them losing, then we’ve got to flag that.

During the opening contest in the tag team turmoil match, Gran Metalik came in to take on Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler. He was faring pretty well overall, hitting dropkicks and dives everywhere. But then at the end, he watched Roode walk off to the side with the referee and decided to hit a handspring backflip – and landed right in a Ziggler superkick. That led to a Glorious DDT and their elimination.

Now, maybe Roode was way out of position. But watching it live, Metalik looked like a moron going for a “move” like that when no one was in the same zip code. He basically opened himself up to get beaten. In the grand scheme of things, this is nothing, but it was a moment where this writer jumped forward at the stupidity of that spot.
