6 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2015
3. Giving Reigns The Rub
One wouldnt think that WWEs anointed successor to John Cena needs to get a rub from another star, but the failed attempt to elevate Roman Reigns to World Champion from Royal Rumble to WrestleMania required the company to do a little backtracking. Thankfully, the promotion has been smart enough to step back with Reigns and build him back up in fans eyes. Having Reigns partner back up with and watch the immensely popular Dean Ambroses back has helped some of the most callous fans remember why they liked Roman at one point. It also has gotten Reigns back to what he does best: talk less and hit more. At Elimination Chamber, Reigns made the save during a four-on-one beatdown, punching and spearing anything that moved, helping Ambrose overcome the odds and keep his hands on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (more on that in a bit). The result was a ton of cheers raining down on Roman for helping out his popular friend. Thats not to say that some fans still wont revolt when Reigns is pushed to the top again, but at least WWE has taken that step back and tried to reignite the flame.
