3. Hollywood Dave Strikes Back

After last week’s shouting match, it was good to see Batista return to a more restrained, cerebral approach on Monday night.

Batista did an interview “from his home in Tampa” where he fielded questions from Michael Cole about why he was so angry (“I just don’t like the guy (Triple H)”), and does this feud go back to Evolution (it apparently goes back further, to when he was grooming him before the group formed to be his muscle).

The Animal smartly smacked down Cole’s comment about how fair and just Triple H had been to the announcer, noting that he’s called “The Cerebral Assassin” for a reason, and called him a selfish, jealous, control freak.

The interview was a decent build to the feud, but it would have been better if they hadn’t pulled the camera back at the end of the interview in his “office” to reveal a block concrete wall – like you would see at an arena.
