6 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 5th)
4. Hard Sell For Wednesday
The only redeeming factor of the poorly executed six-woman tag match was listening to the announcers really putting over the 30-minute Iron Woman match between Bayley and Sasha Banks for the NXT Womens Champion at NXT TakeOver: Respect on Wednesday. JBL pointed out how an Iron Man match can be a career-defining moment, and he really gave high praise when he talked about how the women stole the show at TakeOver: Brooklyn and deserved to main event Wednesdays show. That kind of sell made the match feel like it really is an important match and is something any real wrestling fan shouldnt miss. The obvious problem with this is that if WWE can figure out how to make an NXT Womens Championship match feel important, why cant they do the same thing with the Divas Championship? Aside from when Charlotte challenged Nikki Bella on the day she tied AJ Lee for the longest title reign, has there been a title match that felt like it was a really big deal?
