3. New Day Stands Tall
If you had said three months ago (or even three weeks ago) that New Day would close out an episode of Raw standing over the fallen bodies of John Cena, Dolph Ziggler and the Dudley Boyz, most people wouldve thought you were crazy. The popular trio is riding quite the wave, but theyve been more of a comedy act than a serious threat until Monday night. For the second week in a row, New Day answered Cenas U.S. Championship open challenge, this time decimating Dolph Ziggler in the process. Big E fought the match and though he dominated throughout, he ultimately lost. But in the aftermath, New Day would manage to fend off Cena, an intervening Ziggler and the Dudleys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCYrQ350q1E The result was the WWE World Tag Team Champions walking out as the dominant force for the night. It was a strange visual, but it served as a reminder to fans that despite being goofy and probably the funniest part of Raw, New Day is talented and dangerous.
