5. A Scary Thought

During Battleground, WWE put on the screen a tweet from Roman Reigns that read that he was going to return to prominence, noting that he was going to become a four-time world champion and the “top guy” once again.

Reigns’ tweet might have seemed innocuous to some, but what really stood out was the reference to wanting to become a four-time world champion. He won the title at Survive Series (losing it immediately thereafter). He regained it in December, only to lose it at the Royal Rumble. And then he won the main event of WrestleMania to claim the title in March.

It’s a little odd to realize that Roman is actually a three-time world champion, with all three rights coming in a seven-month span. That’s a hell of a lot of chances to get over as a big star, but he just doesn’t seem to be there yet. Hopefully, WWE will find a role for Reigns if he’s not going to be “the guy” in the coming weeks.
