6 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Battleground 2016

2. Is She Or Isn’t She?

If you missed the first five minute of Battleground, you missed a massive cheer from the Washington, D.C. faithful welcoming Bayley to the WWE for her long-awaited, very overdue main roster debut.

But is Bayley here to stay, or just making a pit stop? The fact that Bayley wasn’t selected in the Raw/SmackDown draft last week – despite Carmella, Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss being chosen – raised some serious eyebrows among fans. And then JBL threw out there that his “sources” told him that this was a one-shot deal for Bayley, that she was helping Sasha Banks out as her mystery partner, but that fans shouldn’t get used to seeing her in WWE just yet.

What. The. Actual. Hell. Bayley finally shows up in WWE, gets the loudest cheer of the night, and she’s supposedly only here for one show? If she isn’t and she actually is joining WWE, why wasn’t she drafted? (A simple, “title-holders and #1 contenders weren’t eligible” would have sufficed.)

Look, it was great that we finally got to see Bayley in WWE, and it’s much-deserved. But as great as it was, her appearance just opened the floodgates with questions, and none of them good.
