7. Jobber-Style Matches Galore
On their own, the three matches heading into the second hour would be fine, but when you stack all of them right after one another, it really drags down the quality of the show.
No one thought Akira Tozawa, Tony Nese and Eric Young were going to beat Drew McIntyre, Aleister Black and Andrade, respectively. And while all three men could always use solid wins – and the other wrestlers could use TV time – booking all of them in sequence was a poor, poor decision. Throw in a fourth consecutive squash with Erick Rowan thrashing No Way Jose, and then another squash later the Viking Raiders against local talent, and you have overload.
It just gave the vibe that you were watching the old Superstars of Wrestling or WWF Challenge tapings from back in the late 80s.
